The OSU Flight Team

began in 1983 as a small, fledgling group.  As the team began to gain experience, they rose to the top nationally within a few short years.  For the past 25 years they have usually finished within the top 5 teams at the national flight competitions.  The team is coached by an all volunteer staff of graduates who now fly or work for Southwest Airlines, NetJets, Jeppessen, PSA UsAirways Express, Republic Airlines, and other local aviation corporations.  The Ohio State Flight Team has produced 2 national Top Pilots and 1 national Top Female Pilot, along with numerous national champions in the Aircraft Preflight Event, Simulator Event and several flying events.  The team has also a handful of number two and three ranked overall Top Pilots nationally and a large amount of Regional Top Pilots and Team Championships.

An extensive network enables flight team alumni to help team members after graduation as they work their way into flying and non-flying positions through the industry.
